Your CDE certification or credential is valid for 1 year.

To maintain certification and credentialed, you must renew annually, ensuring a higher standard than the federally mandated 5-year background check.

An individual credential typically takes 2-4 weeks.  

An organization certification application can be completed within 30 days, but all organizations are required to fulfill a 6-month probationary period before receiving full certification.   

Annual re-attestation of status, without gaps or incident, can be done automatically. 

Common delays occur due to:

 Incomplete applications

 Scheduling and completing the psychological evaluation

 A database of active and inactive CDE-certified teachers

The consultation has three parts:

1. Intake questionnaire

2. An evidence-based assessment

3. 30-minute in-person or online session with a licensed mental health practitioner

regulations and is never shared with third parties. All medical records are protected under HIPAA and our collection, platforms and data storage are HIPAA compliant.
