IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE REGARDING BACKGROUND CHECKS

Step Secure LLC may obtain information about you from an investigative consumer report for credentialing purposes. These reports may include information about your character, general reputation, personal characteristics, and mode of living.

The scope of the reports may include, but is not limited to: criminal and sex-offender records, identity verification, address history, employment and education verification, professional license verification, reference checks, and motor vehicle records (if job-related and permitted).

If an investigative consumer report is requested, you have the right to request a disclosure of the nature and scope of the investigation. Upon your written request to info@step-secure.com within a reasonable time, Step Secure LLC will provide a complete and accurate written statement of the nature and scope of the investigative consumer report requested.

Step Secure LLC will obtain the report(s) from an investigative consumer reporting agency. Step Secure LLC, and the reporting agency, do not make any employment or retention decisions and cannot explain why adverse action may be taken by an employer.
